Trust the Process Series #15

How are you doing? How are things going for you during this process? Are you holding on? Are you bracing yourself? And what are you listening to? These are the questions we posed in the previous episode.

Because if it is faith that sustains you during the process, remember this: Faith comes from what you hear, and what you hear comes from the Word of God. Whatever you listen to feeds your spirit, it can either make you stronger or make you weaker.

Why is it that every time you enter a certain environment, you feel unsettled? Why is it that every time you leave it, you feel even worse? It is as if you had reached a certain level, only to fall back down to a lower one. Why do you keep going back? Why do you continue to engage in the same conversations that always leave you feeling disturbed? Take the time to answer these questions. Then, consider whether the answers are truly worth the continued suffering especially when things could be different.

You would agree with me, wouldn’t you, that some forms of suffering are actually choices we make ourselves? Yes, you might say, “That’s because you don’t understand me.” I do understand. But sometimes, you are the one choosing to remain in that situation even though you have already figured out strategies and various ways to get out. Yet, you stay, and then you continue to complain. God does not remain idle. He does not always intervene by physically removing you with His own hands. He provides you with strategies to remain steadfast at your current stage. He gives you strategies to move forward along the path. He is the guide who leads you, but He will not take the action for you. You are the one who must take action.

If the right thing for you is to remove yourself from a situation, then do so; so that the problem does not keep repeating itself in the same way. As we conclude this section on the process, I want you to understand that worship is one of the things that sustains you. You must maintain a victorious attitude, the mindset of someone who has already won the battle as you navigate the process.

If you are in a healing process, while you await that healing, conduct yourself like someone who is on the path to recovery. Your words must become words of healing; your words must become words of blessing. Make declarations over your life: “I am healed.” “I am in good health.” And live like someone who believes that this healing is coming.

Likewise, if you are in an economic process; perhaps preparing a project, that, too, is a process. As the project takes shape, your character must also be shaped. There are lessons you need to learn. Just ensure you do not keep repeating the same mistakes. Ask yourself this question: Does the way you conduct yourself resemble the behavior of an entrepreneur? Who are your friends? Do you surround yourself with entrepreneurs? What kind of videos do you watch? Do you read books on business, finance, or management?

Because remember, we are always talking about faith. Faith is the demonstration of what you do not yet see, but already believe. So, if you say you are in the process of becoming an entrepreneur, yet you never read about finance, never learn about business management, and never invest in your own development… And all your friends are people who keep saying: “Business isn’t worth the trouble.” or “Everyone who goes into business is a thief. “or “Don’t get involved in that.”

How do you expect to reach your desired destination? I won’t go any further into this today. I’ll leave you to reflect on these questions. We will continue on the next episode
