Trust the Process Series #17

Let’s continue this journey together. There are many things that can derail your process; that can pull you off track, that can keep you from reaching the final outcome you desire. Once you’ve received a promise and entered the season of waiting, you must demonstrate what you believe. We wrote on this in the previous episode. It’s not just God’s presence that’s required; you, too, must have a strategy and take the right actions. We often repeat this: throughout all the miracles Jesus performed on earth, there was always an action involved. So, as you navigate these stages, are you putting your strategies into practice? Are you taking actions that align with the specific stage you are in? Perhaps you aspire to become a millionaire or, even if you don’t reach that exact goal, you simply want a stable life, one free from major worries.

But if you lack discipline and the results don’t materialize, you might claim that a promise over your life went unfulfilled. Often, it’s not the promise that failed; rather, it’s because you didn’t follow the necessary steps. You acted too soon. This doesn’t mean the promise has vanished entirely, but you may suffer significantly due to decisions made prematurely by skipping steps.

You might do something today, stop tomorrow, start again, and then give up once more. That is not how a process works. A process requires consistency and discipline. If you don’t have a plan, if you aren’t following a specific path you cannot claim to be in a process. It’s like someone saying they are in school. Which school? Who is the teacher? Often, we send our children to school, but they must know who their teachers are. If you are in a school, you must know the teacher. And if you know the teacher, you must have the materials needed to pass the test. What test? The test for the stage you are currently in. We all want to pass the test of life, but do you have the materials to pass it? When have you ever taken an exam without studying?

When have you ever passed an exam without buying the necessary books? When have you ever passed an exam without reading anything or following the teacher’s instructions? What kind of process is it if you haven’t prepared yourself? This is what I want you to understand. I pray that you make a genuine decision to change. You will face tests, but you must have the materials to prepare yourself. You must know who the teacher is. You must sit in the classroom, take notes, and listen to what is being taught because that is what a process is. We will continue this discussion in the next episode.
